    Bold Native
. Charlie Cranehill, an animal liberator wanted by the United States government for domestic terrorism, emerges from the underground to coordinate a nationwide action as his estranged CEO father tries to find him before the FBI does. The film simultaneously follows a young woman who works for an animal welfare organization fighting within the system to establish more humane treatment of farmed animals. International Day of Action to Close Down Green Hill

We need international help to close down Green Hill and have a ban on breeding dogs, cats and primates for vivisection in Italy.

On may 9th the senators of Commission n. 14 will present their amendments to the EU Directive on vivisection. The vote is now on an article that is banning the breeding of some species for vivisection and the ban of experiments without anesthesia. Vivisectors in Italy and all over the world are lobbying and they do not want any restriction to their work. There is a strong battle at the moment and the pressure is really high, especially after the open liberation of 30 or more dogs on April 28th.

London activists will be doing a demo at the Italian Embassy on may 8th. Please join the day of action with a demo on vivisection in front of Italian consulates and embassies in your country. The Italian movement is fighting hard to close the biggest European dog breeder and have the first law banning the breeding of some species, which can be a spark for more changes in the future on a European level.

Please join the international day of action to close down Green Hill on May 8th!

You can write details of your demos or actions of support to:

Italian activists get past police, storm Greenhill, liberate 30 beagles!

Watch a slide show of activists passing beagles over the barbed-wire fence HERE

Facts: Beagles are the most popular breed for lab use because of their friendly, docile, trusting, forgiving, people-pleasing personalities. The research industry says they adapt well to living in a cage, and are inexpensive to feed. Research beagles are usually obtained directly from commercial breeders who specifically breed dogs to sell to scientific institutions.

Help save dairy cow and calf from slaughter

Three of four ‘retired’ dairy cows (not pictured) have been saved from a dairy farm where they were destined to be sent off to be brutally murdered after their life of servitude to being milked for the benefit of humans (including having their babies taken off them each year). The fourth dairy cow has a calf and she is destined to be also brutally murdered unless she is ‘purchased’ by the 1st of May.

Animal Equality Uncovers Again The British Pork Industry

Animal Equality has carried out an undercover investigation into East Anglian Pig Company, which is the third largest pig meat producer of the UK. EAP is a member of Freedom Food and is audited and monitored by Assured Food Standards (AFS).

Over 120 hours of footage and recorded conversations, as well as 278 photos, provide a truly shocking insight into the so called high standards of the British pig industry.

The East Anglian Pig Company is owned by Cranswick Plc - a leading UK food supplier that manufactures and supplies products to the food service sector, food producers and grocery retailers within the UK, such as Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, The Cooperative Food, Waitrose and ASDA.

The company produces a range of products that include pork, gourmet sausages, cooked meats, and dry cured bacon for sale to the food retailers. It also supplies a range of pre-sliced, pre-packaged charcuterie products for sale, together with a range of pre-packed sandwiches for food outlets. Its brands include Jamie Oliver, Weight Watchers, Richard Woodall, The Black Farmer, Red Lion Foods, Reggae Reggae, Simply Sausages and Yorkshire Baker.

Cranswick Pork is also used to make famous dishes served in McDonald’s such as the Sausage & Egg McMuffin. Cranswick had been named supplier of the year at the OSI McDonald’s awards in 2011.

    Give And Let Live

We all want to contribute to a healthy population—to prevent devastating diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS, to offer assistance to those who are experiencing illness, and to find cures as quickly as possible.

According to many scientists, the best hope for the prevention or cure of many diseases is relevant and progressive nonanimal research methods, such as in vitro cell and tissue cultures, microfluidic circuits, computer modeling, microdosing, and epidemiological studies. This knowledge, as well as ethical considerations for animals, has led many people to be concerned about the continued use of ineffective and outdated animal methods in medical research. They prefer to support charities and corporations that sponsor more responsible and humane alternatives.

The Council on Humane Giving offers an ever-expanding directory of charities that fund only humane, human-based research or patient services, as well as a list of corporations that have pledged to support such charities. Your support of Humane Seal-certified organizations allows you to Give and Let Live.
